The first thing you, the stutterer, need to do is to accept the fact that you stutter. You cannot deal with a problem if you do not know/admit the problem even exists. After you have identified the issue at hand you will be able to set your milestones toward your goal of diminished disfluency. Noticed how I said "diminished disfluency", you will always stutter, the percentage of stuttering is what will vary. Stuttering will be like long hair, some days you will have a bad hair day (which means you will stutter frequently) and other days you will have a good hair day (which means you will be more fluent).
